As a passionate chamber musician, Łucja Madziar is a founding member of the Klaviertrio Hannover and brings her equally reflective and rousing playing to various instrumentations. On the occasion of Ludwig van Beethoven's 250th birthday, the Klaviertrio Hannover recorded his complete piano quartets together with violist Konstantin Sellheim for GENUIN classics in cooperation with SWR. In its latest project, the Klaviertrio Hannover dedicated itself to the previously unpublished chamber music of Emilie Mayer, widely regarded as the "female Beethoven". "Missing Link Emilie Mayer" is the title of the album which presents Emilie Mayer’s piano trios in D minor, E-flat major and A minor. The sheet music of the rediscovered works has been published by Furore. Both albums were nominated several times for the prestigious OPUS Klassik; the Beethoven recording twice, the Emilie Mayer-project even in three categories.
Łucja Madziar was born in Poland and received her first musical impressions through the music of her homeland from composers such as Frédéric Chopin and Karol Szymanowski. Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz will receive her special attention in various projects in the coming years. Łucja Madziar studied with Prof. Petru Munteanu and later with Prof. Silvia Marcovici, thus receiving training in the tradition of the Franco-Belgian violin school. She also owes many inspirations of her artistic work to the collaboration with artistic personalities such as Ida Haendel, Ivry Gitlis and Shlomo Mintz, among others. Winner and laureate of the international competitions "Fritz Kreisler" in Vienna, "Vaclav Huml" in Zagreb and "Andrea Postacchini" in Fermo, she has also received the DAAD Prize for Outstanding Achievement and was awarded the Aalto Prize for Young Artists.
